4th kid out of 5 and it shows. I think I am more funny than I really am, and I enjoy laughing, and being spontaneous. I also am a mutant (for those that don't know the definition: A genetic defect prone person that has a 90% chance at having everything go abnormal with my body) If you know me, you know this already. I just gotta figure out what my power is...this is my quest!
Our Enrichment Birthday dinner is coming up and they asked us to write about Angels being Among Us. I felt like posting it, because so many of you have helped me out lately with all of my illnesses that come up. THANK YOU!! There are so many things I could say especially with this last week of being sick. Wow, how the angels are surrounding me. I feel like when I am down and I pray with faith, then I am comforted by sweet sisters who are doing the Lord's work by comforting me. I have two stories, hope you don't mind. The first was when I was sick a while back, must I always be sick and the answer is yes. On with the story, I was having a really hard time and being a mom and being sick, they don't go well together. (Somehow my kids haven't caught on as to what to do in this situation, even though they have had to deal with it on numerous occasions. )I had called one of the young women in the neighborhood and asked if I could have her help watching my kids while I was at home so that I could rest. I thought it was very uncomfortable asking because I felt that they might think I was weird to ask for a babysitter while I was still home, but this family was more than willing to help out. While I was resting and she was playing with my kids, I happened to come out and find her sweet mom putting dinner on the counter and hushing me, not letting me thank her as tears were swelling up. I was deeply touched by both of these angels and the fact that they were seeking the opportunity to serve and their hearts were filled with Christ's love and I felt it. So I was touched by two Angels that day.
The next story is about several angels who are among us. I have had an amazing out-pour of love shown to me and my family this last week. Sure it takes time for the word to travel to all, but I tell you once you have tapped in to the right source of the Relief Society it gets done. My testimony has grown so much for those who are called to serve in these positions of Compassion and service. My gratitude for their love and care and communication with one another truly testifies to me that the Lord has his hand guiding these women/Angels to help answer my prayers.I think that I must have a lifelong lesson to learn on Faith and Enduring to the end with patience. I know that I would not be able to do it alone, and the Lord didn't expect me to, that is why he has angels among us to help us make it back home. I wish I could thank all of those who helped me out, for those that were called and for those who just showed up at my door with a dinner surprise, the checking in on me phone calls that helped me get through the boring bed-rested days. I am thankful to be surrounded by many women who are aware of their calling as angels and who do it well.
